as my undergraduate career comes to a close i find myself increasingly paralyzed by the fear of stagnation mostly as it pertains to balancing art and becoming a fully functioning, financially independent adult. However instead of asking questions of "what if.." I'd like to declare a manifesto.
1)
I wonder if I WILL challenge myself and my work without a prompt, deadlines, critiques, or class meeting times...without the fear of incompletion of projects equating to the incompletion of grades.
2)
Will My being cut off from the university's resources (both material and mental) become a springboard for innovation and artistic growth through creative problem solving and exploration rather than a hindrance to creative production
3)
Will I Continue to nurture relationships formed with teachers, mentors and classmates to build an ever expanding and encompassing community through art and education
4)
Will I Stay motivated to produce art in potentially tough economic times ahead, and true to my beliefs of what is and is not a righteous way to earn a living.
thats all so far...
